Better late than never.

I visited home for the weekend. It was fun, but also reminded me why things are going to hell in a hand basket over there.

Among other things that I learned about the last 40 years of my family's history (which did help me to understand why things happened the way they did) one little and recent detail stood out.

It occured six weeks ago, and there seemed to be a mutual, silent agreement not to tell me. Whatever.

Anyway, my mum kind of ran over my dad in her car. Yeah. From stationary, no one was hurt. Car roll forward, man fall down, car roll upward. And a fine time was had by all. Except for those who didn't.

Don't try to work out what's going on over here, please. You wouldn't guess it anyway.

Your mother is quite a character, BM. For this and other reasons. Maybe a certain distance needs to have its mean increased. It did my household a world of good. Now the worst thing we have to contend with is the cat being sick everywhere. Oh, and not having an oven or freezer.

Unfortunately right now my family affairs are more complicated than the equations that describe the modern cosmological model. No soap opera has ever managed something like this.

That's why I'm glad I set up the cameras in your house. So much more entertaining than anything on traditional television.
