It's Done

Those fucking protesters make me so mad. In some places the staff come out to escort their patients and patients' support to prevent physical altercations. It's what the protesters want, so that you can be punished for something.

Someone I knew during highschool had a run in with a protester when she had to get an abortion once. They made her feel even more like shit than she already did (she wanted the child but she couldn't afford the kid, needed to focus on school, and couldn't handle the idea of parting with it after birth) and she was so horribly depressed for the following months. I had never seen anyone shut down like that. I don't understand how anyone with half a mind would think it's okay to do that kind of shit to people in favour of something that hasn't even come close to being born yet.

Glad it went over smoothly for you two, though. At least, minus the protester, that's what I got from it.

They had staff set up outside to keep them from coming on the actual property, but the property line was not that far from the entrance. I was asking the staff member sitting out there where a gas station was, so I could go gas up the car while Steph was having the procedure done (I didn't want her to have to wait for me to do this after it was over. It's an hour and a half drive to the clinic from my place, and I didn't want to prolong the sitting in the car any more than I had to at that point) when he started directing his diatribe towards me. At first I just ignored him, but he kept going, and was starting to irritate me (I wasn't in the greatest mood to begin with) and I just said something along the lines of "You're still talking, aren't you?" He took out a toy fetus, and started waiving it at me, saying "This is what your baby looks like," and "How does it feel to be a father." I walked over to him, and asked to see the fetus. When he showed it to me, I took it from him. He asked for it back, and I told him no. I don't really remember a lot of what was said after that.

At some point, I told him that I was done, and started walking to my car to go to the gas station. He started yelling at me again. I walked back to him, and asked if he understood how conversations worked. I started to lose my temper, and got very close to his face, purposely letting spit fly from my mouth as I talked. He didn't enjoy that much, and kept saying "I'm done. I'm done." I walked away. I didn't get ten feet before he started again. I turned around, stalked back, and told him that if he tells me he's done when I'm in his face, and then starts up again the moment I'm not in threateningly close quarters then he is a little bitch on top of being a liar. He promises he's done. I told him that when I come back out with Stephanie he isn't going to say a word. I told him I'll go to jail. At this point, I don't care. But you won't say a fucking word to her. He was gone when we came back out.

Ill-educated people such as these need to be forcibly taught the science behind abortion and what is classed as a 'child'. move their stupid pseudo-science based morals and theirs gods to one side, just sit them down and tell them nice and slowly, in simple English, the procedure.

I hope the fact that the abortion is done now means you can just get some relief and get on with your lives.

I felt like shit most of the day yesterday, but feel somewhat better today. It being over is definitely a weight off. Once it was done, we just went back to my apartment, smoked some pot, and slept for about four hours.

I thought it was:

'I'm glad you are better, I'm glad you feel relief now that it is over and I'm glad that you are still mean to people.'

Same difference either way really.

they insist they're fighting for a good cause and doing some good but really they are venomous bastards who cause a lot of damage. fuck them.

I've seen them to the same to parents who had been looking forward to their kid, but lost it at a late stage. What they do is no worse no matter what the situation, but it does demonstrate their complete ignorance of what those services are for.
