But wouldn't dominating women try to make him do stuff?

I dated someone once.

We broke up because I stopped paying attention to them in favour of school and video games. At some point they were nagging at me about cheating on them with Mortal Kombat 9 when it came out.

And that's my life story.

These are basically her reasons for not wanting a relationship.

As far as I'm concerned, every 'gamer girl' I've met has next to no social life and can't make time to talk to people about anything at all. I'm sure it's the same for gamer guys as well though. Urgh.

Actually, not for kissing. There I have no excuse; just not had a girlfriend since I was 16.
Don't be too sad. I haven't had a girlfriend since I was 4.

The "gamer girls" at my school that I know are friendly, nice people with lives outside of gaming. None of them are very serious gamers, though.

I'm a fairly dedicated Quake Live dueler and I make time for people when they'll have me.

Also, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Fucking teenage girls.

Oh, yeah. I forgot to mention that these girls probably wouldn't label themselves as gamers. Does that mean they don't count?

This one was really more of a nerd than a gamer. She liked MMOs, superhero movies and Brandon Sanderson. But she was also one of the most intelligent people I've ever met - seriously, she completely blew me out of the water.

As for social life, she spent half her time jetting around Europe with her youth brass band as a trombonist. Also she has a TERA guild, if that counts. She only has about four friends, mind, so I'm grateful to remain as that much.

Why do I get the feeling that somewhere across the internet she's made a "My friend kissed me" blog?

I think so. Speaking objectively, she was kind of mousy.

I someone actually wants to help, they can recommend a free/cheap video game that's easy but fun.

Kirby and the Amazing Mirror will kill a good few hours and is free in an illegal sense.

When I went through my girl thing last year I really went off video games because I was too mopey. Just a heads up.

That's funny coming from a "Brony".

Everything's funny (in a kind of pathetic way) coming from a "brony"

Are we all jumping on the rather dull, 'you're not allowed to like what you like' bandwagon again?

Perhaps....

Labels help with identification, "gamer" is fine, but "gamer girl" is stupid, pointess and irritating, mainly because it's used by slutty 15year-olds who play CoD every now and again.

Mate, they're just words, the only power they hold is what you give to them. If something as pathetic as 'girl gamer' sets you off when 'gamer' is fine then that's your own damn fault.

In my opinion, /all/ gamers spend too long indoors, being antisocial but if that's what makes them happy then I'm not going to judge.

Even casual gamers, who like to play a Facebook game for 30 minutes a day?

Meh, whatever floats your boat, it doesn't really bother me enough to warrant much thought over it. If it makes you happy then you may as well do it.
