Is it just me...

Well if you think about it, the bees are picking the queen - who is like...technically their sister. So if the bees are really bitchy they probably pick the ugliest one so they can all laugh and take the piss when it never gets laid by all the wedge drone bees.

If we're being serious...I don't remember how they pick a queen, I think it's partly down to random chance but maybe it's to do with how healthy the pupa is as well. I could totally go check but all my bee books are like, six feet away and I'm not getting out of bed until dinner.

This why you people should see Bee Movie, the best documentary of all time.
