Has Miyazaki finally given in to the perverted tentacle monster in every Japanese person's brain and forced fan service into his anime like every other one ever?

Miyazaki hasn't made a good film in about ten years.

Also rather ironically the very last thread I saw on /a/ was yet another person complaining about his family not speaking to him after he showed them Totoro and they got to the bathing scene.

I don't know much about Studio Ghibli, or anime for that matter, but I liked Howl's Moving Castle and didn't that come out nine years ago?

I've only seen that one and Spirited Away, anime was never my cup of tea but those ones were quite good stories imo.

Spirited Away was a masterpiece. That was twelve years ago.

Howl's Moving Castle was either a very good movie or a very bad movie depending on the mood I'm in that day. It's certainly nowhere in the middle and it's certainly very well made and entertaining.

It's a mess basically. A big charming well produced mess.

Also WATCH PRINCESS MONONOKE AND NAUSICAA OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND THEY ARE THE BEST THINGS HE EVER DID

Nausicaa is so awesome. Mononoke too, but I just looove Nausicaa.

Nausicaa has the better female lead and I feel it's ultimately the better story, also Patrick Stewart.

But I simply cannot get over how amazing the dub script for Mononoke is. Especially Lady Eboshi and Moro's parts.

You know who wrote that script, right?

Duh? Though I loved it well before I was into his books.

I was so happy and amazed when I found out it was Neil Gaiman.

It's just soooo perfect. I can't even imagine watching it in the original Japanese.

Oh. I was just surprised that you couldn't get over the fact that something Neil Gaiman wrote was good. I would take that with a grain of 'Well duh'.

Spirited Away is the only none-Pokemon Anime movie I've seen...and it was wonderful. I really should watch it again sometime.

I love Nausica, Mononoke and I enjoy Howl's Moving Castle.

The other ones are alright but don't really do much for me.

Nauusica is lovely though. Really.

Totoro is great. Stephanie's daughter Zoey demands to watch it when they are over every weekend.

I was going to watch Totoro with a friend but he suddenly vanished of the face of the earth, so...that's where I'm at anime-wise.
