I got engaged last week, for all you who aren't on my Fartbake, to the bestest girl in the world. Down on one knee and everything. And even though I'm only the baby age of 21 I don't think I've jumped in too early seeing as we were together for about three years and have been living together for the past 6-7 months.

So far, though, a wedding is not on the cards... at least not for a verrry long time. For the time being it's a promise that I'm committed to her and only her for as long as that ring stays on her finger which is essentially already being married. But yeah, I'm happy, ecstatic even.

Not so happy that this is actually a very bad blog, though.

Word of advice, though. Do not fall too hard into the whole "I asked and you have a ring and that's what matters" thing. If you put off the actual act for too long she will start to resent you for it. This is said from experience.

And that's the rub. I don't like tradition that encourages the notion that love is measured by money or material. I'm not a huge fan of the jewelry industry either, but that's an entirely different conversation.

I agree with Sekto. All you need is something that represents the mutual love between you and your partner, and you don't need a $500 piece of metal/rock/whatever to do that.

I think sex goes beyond the act, it has a lot to do with the intimacy and passion and all that bollocks as well. To suggest that penis+vagina=sex seems a bit close minded. That being said I'm of a similar mind set.

I said "fucking", not sex.
"Sex" is a broader term and everyone has their own idea of what it constitutes. "Fucking" I feel specifically refers to - as STM put it - the good 'ole in-out.

You don't say "I fucked her" if she gave you a blowjob, but you can get away with saying it if you thrust your dick in and out of her mouth. Even then, a prefix is often expected (head-fucking, throat-fucking, face-fucking, etc.)
