You'll wave your banner.
I'll spot you; wave back.
I'll leap into the aisle and run up the stairs towards you.
All heads will turn; where am I going?
I run to your row, but you're in the middle.
You always did have to be awkward.
So I squeeze past all the seated people. They're amazed that I'm so close to them, but they're embarrassed by all the heads and cameras turned towards them, so they don't make a scene.
And I get to the middle, where you're sitting.
And I go:
"Oh hey, how's it going."
It's not really a question. Just a friendly greeting.
And then I go back to the stage.
And then, when it's all over, I go back to my trailer.
And there you are.
A small smile.
A tasteful fade to black.
Beautiful.
