So long, Goodbye... For now.

Posted 09-12-2012 at 09:45 AM by JayDee
Due to mostly medical but also personal reasons I will be in no fit state to browse, let alone post for atleast a month or two. This probably makes no great impact on anybody's life but oh well.

Slig Suicide will get updates after I'm well enough to continue working on it. Sorry for any delays or inconvenience but this is why I've been behind on many things.

Stay Odd, and please don't make a mess.

Thanks Nep, it's cancer but the tumour isn't too developed so they're going to try remove it surgically.

Witty as ever, OANST.

And don't worry about us making a mess, because we already did.

I don't know you, but I really really wish you well regardless.

Remember, the key to beating cancer is a positive mindset. The surgery is going to work. You are going to be fine. You won't let anything like this get you down. Believe that, and face it head on.

I don't know you too well either, but having been affected myself by cancer, you have my sympathies... I hope the treatment is successful. Good luck, and get well soon.

Best of luck to you. If things don't work out as planned, don't go all Walter White and start making drugs. Because that's just silly.

Seriously though, stay positive.

Scientifically proven to have no effect whatsoever! On the other hand, I've met a few cancer survivors who told me that the pressure to Stay Positive and Have A Good Attitude was thoroughly depressing and they wanted to punch anyone who suggested it.

So, J_dude320, feel however the hell you want to feel and I hope you kick that tumour's butt.

Or maybe it is.

Maybe so, but I do believe that there is a certain degree of mind over matter somehow. Convince yourself you are not sick and your body will follow suit the best it can. Stuff like that. Some instances where religious persons had a tumor and they were so convinced that god would help them beat it and weeks later the tumor was gone without a trace. And since I don't believe in god that leaves the other faith.

I've read about placebo-studies where cancer patients were cured by placebo. It was in a SCIENCE magazine!!!

Either way, hope you get better, J_dude!

Yes, feeling happy is scientifically proven to make a person feel happy! It's not proven to actually help health prospects.

And, yes, this isn't the time for science, as such. But it's a time to consider J_dude320's feelings and take in to account the fact that saying "Stay Positive" is actually a lot of pressure to put on him. Many cancer patients don't appreciate it.

EDIT: I originally included a few links in this comment, but it looked to me like I was trying to win an argument, which isn't really appropriate. If you're interested in more information, send me a PM.
