If anything, I'm more surprised by creators of media with heavy-handed moral standpoints who don't act that way in real life, but yes, it is annoying.

I wrote Lorne off as a fringe lunatic, and all around turd years ago.

I like that he's always followed by a cult of sycophantic fucks whenever he posts something on FB, no one ever presents him a counter argument and so he just keeps on posting.

I've hidden his posts on Facebook, I'm fed up of everything he posts.

I don't really pay attention to Lorne on Facebook but I never really noticed anything like that in his posts. A lot of people I know post that sort of crap just so they can start conversations and augments so I wouldn't get to angry about it.

Also I like how there is more hate then good towards Oddworld and Lorne on the ODDWORLD FORUMS. :/

When something is bad, the fans will complain, simple.

As photons and antiphotons are the same, so too is Oddworld fandom and Oddworld hatedom.

I'm surprised Sonic has a fanbase these days.

If anything a dozen terrible Sonic games will actually increase the fanbase. And that's a bad thing.

These days, TenNapel is right-wing to the point where he's pretty much Stephen Colbert, if you subtract the fact that Colbert says everything ironically. Normally this wouldn't bother me, but unfortunately, his art suffers as a result. Neverhood and EWJ are classics, and are easily his two best works, but everything he's produced in the last 5 years or so has been varying shades of terrible.

That being said, at least Doug is still making stuff (in fact, a Neverhood movie is currently in production limbo, and is being made by the dudes who brought us Adventure Time. Promo picture).

What exactly is Lorne doing?
Working on Xmobb. Terrific. Nobody cares. We have LiveStream, which is essentially the same thing. By the time Lorne secures all the proper investments to make Xmobb worth our while, it will already be passe. If he's going to pour years of his life and several million dollars into an idea, it better have some staying power.

Why bash Lorne specifically, of all people to bash? Especially considering this is the Oddworld forums and all. Supposedly. :P I mean, is he your idol and doesn't live up to your expectations or something? And what are you expecting from him, considering the messages that his games are portraying?

Crashpunk has a point - If you disagree with him, why not see it as a opportunity to generate conversation and talk to him about why you do instead of bitching about him here?

IMO, so long as he continues to do his job in guiding JAW to make his franchise for him and they hopefully end up making decent games again, then it shouldn't really matter what he thinks. Yeah, what he's saying may be a bit exaggerated but there's little harm in it, compared to the crap many others with more power and more listeners are spouting. His intentions are good at least.

That's the thing, though. I'm no longer sure his intentions are that good. Once I thought he really wanted to save the world, now he just seems to want to make himself look like he cares in front of his friends.

Sometimes he says something thought provoking and sometimes he says something completely retarded. So that makes him about the same as everyone else on Facebook.
