Oh, and you get extra marks if you say to the examiner "Oh, I actually have to do the test? I thought it was just theoretical." Trust me.

I failed mine the first time around for some really stupid technical reason. I hear that happens to almost everyone.

Yeah,our instructor told us that we should be careful on the crossroads,due to if you fail 1 crossroad out of 4 you fail the whole test... :/ most guys fail that -.-"

I failed because I didn't turn on my low beams while operating the wipers, which is apparently against the law. A law that was passed less than a year prior to my test, I might add.

Yeah,they really like to make shitty laws,here we must always keep our lights with low beams on during the whole year if you drive a scooter or a motorcycle.Its not enough that the sun is burning the surface off the earth and we have to have lights on -.-

When it comes to driving you can't win. You are always doing something wrong, even when you're not. That's why it's better to just kind of have an ambivalent attitude while on the road. Practice driving long enough and it becomes second nature. I find that going with your gut on the road tends to pay off more than observing all the laws.

You're thinking about that backwards, Sekto. A new driver must consciously observe every single finicky law, so that when they become an experience driver they will become second nature. And going with the guy will result in legal driving.

That's why I specifically said "Practice driving long enough..."
Or perhaps it was presumptuous of me to assume Scraby was smart enough to know that you won't get a feel for the road the second you're on it.

Yes, but it's not just about getting a feel for the road. It's about getting a feel for the rules as well.
