I probably loved that dog more than most of the human members of my family. More than most of the human race, for that matter. He was 11, and I'm 21. That dog was there for me for half of my entire life.

I just started production on my first major movie, and my dog dies. I hope this doesn't become a tradition. I guess it's a good excuse to really dive into my work and hope that it distracts from the gnawing emptiness in my chest.

That said, I'm probably going to pull a Mac and ditch the forums for a while and just focus on my career. Lately this place has been getting to me, and most of the people here I consider my friends barely post anymore.

Incredibly sorry to hear this, I can't imagine losing my dog and I will be a wreck when she goes. We've had her since I was in Kindergarten and I'm in college now, so she is definitely up there in the years and we recently removed a tumor she had. Best of luck to you and your work.

Oh, thats horrible. I know how hard it is to get over these things, but hey, you've still got the memories, and I bet he had a great life with you. At least he's not suffering anymore. I wish you look, man. I hope things get better.

I've always been amazed at how few of the people I consider my friends on this forum actually give me their condolences.

And yeah, I just need a break from this place. It's not like I'll be missed. I don't care if that sounds pathetic, I just need to get out of here for a while.

I tend to stay out of blogs like this because I'm not very good at giving condolences, but I am sorry to hear about your dog.

You will be missed. That might sound hypocritical coming from me, but you're a valuable part of this community and just about everyone enjoys reading what you have to say.

But I'll say it here too. Im sorry. I already miss Pico too Maybe its weird thinking about, since I didnt spend all that much time with him... But I loved petting him and playing around with him. And feeding him beef jerky... I always took pity on him cos Mudgey always got in the way. And pico was so well behaved. And he had bad breath. But thats ok cos he was cute. And had really soft fur around his neck.

I think I already told you this, but my good, favourite pal Milo was put down under similar circumstances last year. It hurt, a lot. I still miss him, but he was a sick old boy and I feel better knowing he isn't in pain. It sounds like Pico was going through similar. I know I took a break from OWF around then as well, so be good and do well, man.

I know you're feeling shit right now 'cause of losing someone close to you - I've been there a few times. But I wouldn't take the lack of condolences so seriously - People probably have their reasons which aren't anything personal against you.

I'm the same as Joe, as I never know what the appropriate thing is to say in this situation. And I've never had a pet, so I can't relate to that either.

But you have my condolences and best wishes.

That sucks, man. Losing a pet is one of the most painful experiences, especially if you've had one for as long as this.
