I've never been friend zoned by another guy before, maybe because I never actually try to seek love with anybody, I hate it.

When I first started joking about it I wasn't really better yet. I was trying to deal with it, and doing a poor job. Now, when I joke about it, and I don't do that often, it's as if I'm joking about a different person altogether. I can't even really remember what I was like during that time in my life.

This is one of the few experiences I struggle to imagine.

How so?

I can put myself in the shoes of lots of other people (though not nearly as often as I should). It's like running a simulation in your head. For example, I can do the happiness of a successful romance and the primal, consuming fear for the life of ones child and get a good idea of what it's like, I think most people can. But I seem to have a block for this situation. You have my sympathy, but I can't relate.

I'm slightly similar to BM. The first (only, I guess) time I was dumped by a guy I really liked, my self-analytical thought whilst feeling shitty was 'Oh, this must be what other people feel like'.
