The entire trip was amazing. Had a lot of fun getting molested at the sleaziest gay bar in San Francisco with Pilot. At one point I walked into the back where there were about 30 people all waiting in a hallway for what I thought was the bathroom. I asked if it was the line for the bathroom just to be sure, and received the response "No! This is the line to get your dick sucked!". I left that room rather quickly.

Tim was great. He was pretty reclusive during the event. I assume that this was because he wasn't the lead for the project, and wanted Ron Gilbert to do the majority of the talking. So, as everything was winding down, and most of the people had left I asked Matt, the producer on their new game The Cave, if he could ask Tim to take a picture with me before I left. So Matt went into Tim's office, motioning me in for what I thought would be a quick picture. I ended up just shooting the shit with Tim, and Matt for about an hour in Tim's office. Just drinking beer, and talking. We talked some about the Double Fine Adventure, some about The Cave, but mostly we just talked. It's funny because he always has to be doing something with his hands, which you may have noticed if you've ever watched him in videos, but he solved three Rubick's Cubes while we were talking without even paying attention to them.

The night Pilot and I spent in the Castro was ridiculously fun. We started by having dinner with a friend of his where I drank about a gallon of Sangria, and then started hitting the bars. In our second bar we met a couple of really nice guys that we would end up palling around with for the rest of the night. I started by pissing one of them off pretty badly when I made a joke at his expense (he told us that he was in town for a Dungeons and Dragons Card Game tournament of some kind, and I responded with "Oh, so you're not gay, you're just.....gay), but he eventually warmed to me, and we all got along great after that. I sent him into the dick sucking room as he seemed to be interested in that, but he claims that he just watched. At the end of the night, everyone ended up crashing on the floor in my hotel room.

Phew! That was a lot of scrolling to get to the comments!

I'm sad this is a thing that happened after I already left SF for the summer. Even if I probably couldn't have hung out with you guys.

That picture of the guy passed out with a sign on his back was laying in OANST's bed. That room was TRASHED when were were through with it!!

Oh and you can't tell, but the TV screen behind me is playing a certain Rick Astley video.

I liked the aquarium. I pretty much seek them out around the world. Not deliberately, I just sort of gravitate towards them. So I appreciate those photos.

Also, mildly pleased with myself for recognising where most of those pictures were taken. Were the aquarium pictures in the Aquarium of the Bay, or in the California Academy of Sciences?

Also, I would have loved to have accompanied you the first time you went to the Castro. It can be confronting even for a gay man.

It was the Aquarium of the Bay. And I had no issues with the Castro at all. I think, that as a straight man, it was probably easier for me. For a gay man, you would have to consider how into the scene you were, while I could just sit neatly outside the scene, and just enjoy the fun of it.

Nate, you should have come. There will be other times.

I just want to point out that the guy passed out in OANST's bed was also one of the guys that came home with us that night to crash and also the one I slept with on the floor. He tried to mountain dew me twice in the early morning with no rubber, and dry, and I'm like woah... are you still soused? Get real.

Sorry nobody took your offer of a warm and partially empty king size bed, OANST. Next time.

My brother and I were in a shopping centre today that has a really nice aquarium and we stopped and looked at it for several minutes automatically each time we went past it. Mandarinfish are goddamn beautiful.
