Reticulated pythons are renowned for nursing geckos back to health. I'd try putting him under the care of one.

Seriously, I think that if you absolutely cannot get him to a vet, you should consider trying to contact a vet who may be able to visit you (or if not, at least for advice). If this is not possible, I would ask for advice on a forum dedicated to the health of reptiles.

The thing about pets is that even if you do outlive them, you get to be with them for a bit. When I think about my dead pets, I feel glad that I had the privilege of knowing them for a brief time. It also helps to know that while they were alive, they were happy enough to trust me and want to be in my company (especially since dogs and cats aren't enclosed and free to go any time they want).
