Coalition For Equal Marriage

One for the UK residents who believe in equality.

I wondered how long it would be before something emerged to counter the horrendous Coalition For Marriage. At 28 thousand signatures, it's a depressing reminder of the hatred and discrimination that festers in society.

But now there's the brand new Coalition For Equal Marriage! Yay!

HOW DO I TAKE MY SIGNATURE OFF

I guess I should read things before signing them.

My Chemistry teacher is opposed to marriage in general because he doesn't like how we've got two seperate institutions for hetrosexuals and homosexuals.

When he told me that secular hetrosexual marriage didn't exist here, I almost threw up.

EDIT: Also, Wil's blog header doesn't make sense anymore. And 'A Wil To Grind' isn't a thing.

There is no direct mention of "homosexuals"/"gay ppl" on the petition, like they were afraid to use the word because it would adversely affect the signature number. The four "arguments" are incredibly dumb (just look at 'em, they're absolutely pointless, they never even tell why it is a good thing to sign)...

I've never met any homosexual person, but from what I see there, I'm getting a feel they are idiots. Not going to sign.

'Equal marriage' is not the same thing as 'Same-sex marriage'. Equal marriage is for everybody, not just those that fall in the man/woman false dichotomy.

The petition is a response that by the Coalition for Marriage. The arguments aren't standalone, they're pointing out how bad the C4M's points are. I think it would be beneficial if they explain why it would be good, but frankly if you're not already pro-equality there's little that a succinct petition can do to sway your opinion.
