My second home

I hate sloppy shit like this, but tonight I did realise that this place is like a second home to me. I still find it shocking to think I've been here for 6 years, and that just seems like a life time. It doesn't just seem like an interest to me to be a part of this community, but it's like a daily necessity and has been for most of my days. There have been ups and downs, such as being annoyed by certain members, but most members nowadays are very loveable and enjoyable people. I've made some good friends here and I appreciate every good thing you've all brought to my life.

This may be the cider making me say this, but it has a strong element of truth in it.

we're like one big, dysfunctional family here, we share experiences and in our own way try to help when things are shit. not everyone likes everyone else, but we all have our little niches, maybe a bit cliquey at times, but that comes with the territory. at times i find i can have a laugh with you cunts more so than my actual friends, seeing as you know how to take me. it's relatively easygoing.

anyway, back to hating everyone.

The more I consider it, the more I am fairly certain OWF has somehow changed a lot of me, and for that I must say I am thankful. The changes feel like overall improvements to me.

The more I consider that, the more I think I have to go...

Some of you I may not see eye-to-eye with, some of you I may think are duffers, but I (more often than not) find that many of you are surprisingly good people to know.

	I'm in the same boat as MM. This place shaped me, largely because of the age I was when I joined. It forced me to think differently and really push myself to keep up with you guys. Given how disjointed I am from everyone my own age, it's probably been a really bad thing for me.

Sometimes I feel I never got the oppurtunity to be a careless, unreasonable, angsty teenager; The intellectuals here had made me so aware that it was just a combined quirk of brain, body and psychological development.

And while I have no actual intention of being wangsty, I can't shake the feeling that it's actually an important phase for people to go through.

	You might just do it all at uni, that's what some people do. Only reason I'm only a stereotypical teenager when I'm on a night out or if I'm feeling pissy at school. But I was never the person that went round the back of the sixth form block for a fag. Systematically destroying pot, smokes and spirits was probably a good thing for me in the long run.
