I know what it feels like to be heartbroken while stuck somewhere away from your home. Hang in there, keep doing things to take your mind off of stuff, and keep active - physical exercise helped me a lot.

It'll pop in at random times, but yeah, it gets better. You just have to grit your teeth and bear it. I know, not exactly how I handled it. It's better than pushing away every last person who was willing to give you the time of day, and losing the respect of everyone you know though. So I recommend the gritting your teeth and bearing it technique.

The thing about mood swings is that it's a changing state - it's usually the thought that feeling down will eventually go away, as it always does after a while, which makes it more bareable. At least I try to think of it that way.

Is it the stay in Romania that has your spirit down? If yes, I think you should look for the good stuff that you can find there. You know, make the best of that one month until you return home to your Denmarks, Skyrims and properly-running computers.

And I second what DH said about exercise helping with depressive thoughts. I think that fact was even pointed out in Utopia, like, half a millenium ago.

How come you can't return to Denmark early?
