That's nothing. I've been stressing all week because I had lost one of my student groups' assignments. I had perplexing emails back and forth with my boss where we stretched our memories back to see if we could work out if she'd even given it to me.

(I can recall her standing by the escalators and showing it to me, because I can remember her pointing out that one of my students hadn't signed it, hadn't given his student number and hadn't even used his real name. I asked her to put it on my desk, she wandered off in the wrong direction, I pointed out her mistake and then I went toward the tea room. After that, I have no memory of it)

I even got to the point of emailing the students, admitting what had happened and asking them to send me a digital copy. Which is really kinda dodgy, as it gives them more time to tweak it.



And then today, in a state of desperation, I pulled out all the drawers in my desk and there it was, mangled, lying under the lowest one.

Ugh, that is a certified cluster fuck. At least youre not alone, I grew up with teachers as friends, my mom being one. And holy hell, the shit that goes on. lol Really undermines the student/teacher relationship when you know all the normal accidents that go on. Funny, really.

Last weekend I was leaving an assignment to the last minute (as always). It involved converting text to letters, then converting them to mod26 multiplying it by some matrices getting an end result and converting that back to text again: and vice-versa.

It turns out I couldn't find the sheet that had the text that needed to be (de)ciphered; someone in my family most likely threw it out. So on the day it was due I had to go ask the teacher for a replacement and quickly do half my assignment in the lunch break. Not very conscientious I must admit.

That, right there, was my entire high school career. xD

I lost my Sandman collection at my ex-boyriend's house.

And by 'lost' I mean he stole them.

I teach Software Engineering, so the sheer forces of demographic statistics suggest that you should have said 'he'.

They haven't sent anything yet. God knows what's going on; who the hell doesn't check their email multiple times a day?
