I'm thinking something has gone bad with a friend, usually we talk pretty much every day, last time we spoke was about 3 weeks ago, I've even tried phoning him and texting him but no response and he has not been on MSN which is highly unusual, I don't have him on Facebook either so I can't look there, from him, 3 weeks without any sign of life is highly unusual

I don't think I've done anything to piss him off either, now maybe I am overreacting here, but the last thing I knew of, he was going to do something "illegal" so maybe he got caught out by the Police, again, am I just overreacting or could it be the case that he really did get in trouble?

The other problem is that even though we do know each other in person, we originally met from a website, so I don't have anybody that knows him that I could possibly ask either.

It's just been on my mind for a while, no sign of life off him for a day or 2 is unusual, but 3 weeks! I seriously think something bad has happened, not necessarily with the police, but something else, I just feel concerned.

Seems there isn't a lot you can do really - It's a little selfish, but if you're not too close to him you should just hope he's okay and try to forget about him.

I just think you're paranoid. The guy probably went on vacation, or maybe just hasn't had time for MSN and other internet shit; people do have lives, after all.

Don't worry about it, I'm sure he's fine.

Meh if he's doing something illegal and he's in jail. Tough.

If not, don't worry. Geez, you must have more important things to worry about.

I'm with Mr. Bungle. I mean, I sympathise because I'm quite neurotic and would probably assume the worst in this situation. But in my experience, there's usually an innocuous reason for what's going on.

If by some coincidental chance he is in jail, well fine, he did something illegal, but I would just like to know, so I can get it off my mind, despite how much it wouldn't be nice to know I have a good friend rotting in jail.

They originally met on a website. Now, I don't know much but I'm pretty sure that he can rule out popping round to his mums to see if he can come out to play.
