Getting Married

I asked Shannon to marry me yesterday, and she said yes. I have realized that the relationship that I have with her is everything that I wished the relationship I had with April was. She loves me. She believes in me. She gives me everything she has to give, and she will never give up on me. I love her, and I want to make her happy. I want to be happy myself, and when I'm with her I am. I'm going to give her everything I have to give, and I will grow old with someone who makes me feel good about myself.

Well, I haven't spent much time here lately. Shannon and I started dating in early April, and she has been there for me through a lot of shit. She stuck by my side through two more suicide attempts, visited me in one mental hospital, sat down with the administrator of another and convinced him to release me, and has forgiven and understood my surging feelings of loss, betrayal, self hatred, and confusion about what I really want. But I realized recently that I was beginning to feel like me again. I also realized that this is the person that I want to be with. I love her. And I probably wouldn't still be alive if not for her.
