Marcus and the BucketI spent today scraping up moss and dirt from between bricks at my wonderful job. I did this on my own initiative since there wasn't much going on and no one gave me any specific work to do.
When my green bendy bucket was full I hefted it to the big bins to discard the contents. The weight shifted surprisingly, dragging my arm down and bashing it into the lip of the bin, deadening it. As the contents emptied suddenly, the bucket sprang up of its own volition, rotating about the handle in my hand and hit me in the face. I stumbled back, crashed into another bin and slumped to the floor. As I lay there, a single thought went through my mind over and over, with mounting horror each time. I just got beat up by a bucket. How could this have happened? |
