RROD The Deuce

Posted 06-14-2011 at 12:00 PM by OANST
My 360 has the Red Ring of Death again. My girlfriend's brother fixes these things, so I shouldn't be without for too long, though.

In other news, Abbey is living with me for the summer, and we are going on vacation in about a week.

We are going camping in the upper peninsula of Michigan. We will be swimming in good old Lake Superior, visiting the ship wreck museum, seeing the twin waterfalls, climbing light towers, and attempting to not be eaten by bears.

With a name like Lake Superior, it may fail to disappoint.

I'm on my second Xbox, bought in 2008 and so far no problems. The arcade versions seem to be more reliable.

I bought an elite version. Along with a triple fan. Thus far, no red rings at all. All the way back in... Probably 08ish.

Arcade Xboxes aren't any more reliable. My one has had 2 RRODs in 3 years, the good thing is they tend to be really easy to fix. For my one, I took out the hard drive and put it in a cold cupboard for an hour plugged it back in and it worked.
Can't say the same method will work for ALL Xboxes but it's worth a shot.

I've had about 4 red rings of death, they're a real pain in the ass. Haven't gotten one in a long time, though.

Good to hear about you and Abbey. Hope you guys have a good time.

I hope you have a great trip. I don't actually know anything about Lake Superior (apart from the fact that it's one of the Great Lakes), but I don't doubt you'll have a fun time. Return with pictures.

On a weekly basis how often you get to see Abbey? You know if it's not too personal or anything...

Good to hear about Abbey, you deserve the time with her. I love lakes meself, went to the English Lake District and it was good. Your giganto-AmeriCanadian lakes must be awesome.

Also, girlfriend?

The smiley makes me seem less invasive.
