No one does pomp and splendour like we can. However, it was all an utter waste of time and money. With all the resources, manpower, organisation, clearance and official cooperation, somehow they still completely failed to riff on this:

It was all worth it for a title like Her Royal Highness Princess William Arthur Philip Louis, Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn, Baroness Carrickfergus, Master of Arts.

At least everyone came together today all happy and friendly, the town I live in was silent but the people who were around were all smiling and talking to randomers, I even talked to the barber while getting my haircut today and I never do that.

As far as I'm aware, the wedding itself ran at a charitable profit, so money wasn't wasted. I'm just disappointed that none of the money was spent dressing people up as Imperial Stormtroopers. If it were me, there'd be legions of them, jets flying overhead, band playing John Williams, and the whole affair would have been officiated, not by that triad of bishops, but by a black-cowled Ian McDiarmid.

The fucking thing was just a distraction from what is really going on in real Government. It's all bullshit. The royal family are just a cardboard-cutout event. The people who have the sense to disregard the family's "superior" position are the people who have a better idea about the real goings-on.
I also believe that the money spent on these sorts of events are another distraction. It's ludicrous and people know it is, so people are going to be more busy complaining about that over there instead of this over here.

I fucking dread to think of the media coverage of the Queen's death.
