Oh boy,
Well it seems I'm dateless to the prom,

I sort of knew this would happen since I heard about the prom last year. I know that people are going to say, 'go ask someone you dumb fuck' but I'm so shy it's unreal. Ah well, it would be worse if my friends had dates but they don't either, apart from one. Which brings up the question, have I surrounded myself with rejects for five years? Gah fuck it who cares, always next year...and then university. Bleh, I dunno why I'm even posting this.

Anyone dateless to the prom/was dateless to the prom?

I didnt have a date to the prom but I didn't give a shite. I s'pose its different because i'm a bender but ah well. I wouldnt be too bothered about it. You have to remember, proms and dates are nowhere near as socially "needed" as they are in the US. And you shouldnt call your friends rejects, you also have to remember that theyve stood by you over the years, despite how socially important they are.

	Yeh I know, and tbf I don't give that much of a fuck either, I thought about asking a girl but reckoned we'd have nothing to say to each other which would be worse. And I know I shouldn't talk about my friends like that, they are great guys, most of them, I wouldn't ditch them for 'popularity' either. At least I'll get into the after party, apparently that's better then the prom.

	I didn't have a prom, I had a ball. Because, you know, I don't live in America. Although I don't think there's really much of a difference except in my case at least no one gave a shit about having a date. It was the very last time we would all be together as a year group, and it was a celebration of our past years together. I fucking hated it. My advice is to hire and bring along a hooker.

	My school (even though I've lived in Wales all my life) called it a prom. I had no interest in going at all. Do I really want to waste an evening of my life with people who I thought were mostly dickheads? NO! So me and some friends gathered at my house to play Guitar Hero World Tour and drink cider instead. AWESOME! Plus a date? hell no. I didn't get on with any of the girls

we have these things called socials at my school but its pretty much the same thing

but anyway i remember when i was going to go with my gf and it was cool cause i had never been with anyone to the social but any way i was getting ready for the social and my gf text me and dumped me right before the social and even though i was sad i still went and actually i had one of the best timeof my life
it was funny because the next day she wanted to go back out with me again but i said no

	You can have confidence issues without being shy. I always think of shyness as being timid when interacting with people. Confidence issues are broader.

	Well then I have both...I'm not shy around friends, fuck it I played football with some blokes I didn't know last week, and rugby, but I dunno. Ugh. Weird thing is some people are really worried about not going to the prom with anyone, it's not that massive a deal though. Surely?
