EDIT 27/06/2012: These blogs about my ex sometimes appeared in the "random blogs" section. They contained just me bitching incoherently, lamenting, and rambling for ages. Unlike other relationship failures, there wasn't a lot of drama, nor was it interesting for others to read about. So I deleted them all. You aren't missing much.

Probably about time I forgot about this and moved on anyway.

I don't swing that way, unfortunately. :P Although I do wish I was that open - Would mean I'd have more choice. But at least I know myself well enough to know that for sure.

Don't mean to be horrible, but 'compatibility' as the basis of a relationship is mainly bollocks. It's hard work and compromise that allow differences to be accepted, and make a strong, interdependent relationship.

But still, breaking up is never nice. I feel for you man.

I see your point. By compatibility I sort of meant what you said: Having the ability to communicate and understand each other, while agreeing to make compromises when there are differences.

It sucks when arguments happen because one or both parties can't agree to disagree, or won't respect the others' opinions even when they don't agree with them (within reason), and it also sucks when arguments happen because one person misunderstood the other persons' intentions.

Hard work, on the other hand, comes under a relationship being what someone wants to do.

Still, thanks anyway.

Yeah you need to love yourself before loving anyone else in that way. A smrt man said that once. Aaaand then I forgot who said it.

It will feel like crap for a while but it'll get better, don't worry. Also look at happy things in the meantime like uhh...Youtube poop and cheeseburger cats.
