Fulfilling my Blog post per 3 or so years quota...

What many of you people probably don't know is that I keep a journal.
A Private one, and I've had it since about the 3rd grade, much before I ever joined OWF.
Why is this important? It isn't really, I just wanted an anecdote for this blog post, because the thing is, while I've had it since the 3rd grade, I doubt it has been written in any more than 20 times.
Most of the time I just cannot be bothered, and so when I finally jot down an entry, I usually have to quickly summarize the last few months or last few years within a page. They're small pages, but I try to limit myself to a page, because I don't want to fill it up too quickly...:P
But Hey, this blog thing could be different, but seeing as it has been a good long while since posting this, lemme summarize what has happen since then
-Stopped Posting on OWF
-Learned about the OddBoxx
-Saw that the new Oddworld.com was up (FINALLY)
-Started Posting on OWF again
-Downloaded OddBoxx (Curse you SW, Y U NO PLAY RIGHT?)
-Wrote a blog post
Much more has happen, but I obsessively just could not be bothered to type them all.
All seriousness aside, It's surprising to see how much Oddworld, and its forums in particular, have not seemed to change, even though change has been happening. I now own MO and SW on the PC, as well as the Xbox, although I will probably still prefer the latter, and We could possibly see an HD update hit the PS3 as well as the PC, Odd willing, so that is something to look forward too.
And the fans are as busy as ever. With the models released, people have been Garry Modding, and Debug menuing, and even then we're seeing serious headway on a 3D AO, who knew! And I too am taking a course on Computer Animation at the University I attend, and I think some of my practices will be with the newly released MO models, if I can ever find out how to import them into blender, which is the program the class will be using. Hopefully that can help me further my goals to create UP 2: The first 10 mintues of UP 1, stretched into a full length picture! Although my other dreams are just the possibility of getting a job with OWI while they're still trying to work on things, and help them work on said things, which would be awesome.
8 years. Have I really been here that long? Have people really been coming here for nigh on 10 years? I still remember Xav's post about his 5 year, and the posts speculating what will become of OWF in the future.
Looking around the internet, forums like these are a dying breed. Almost like a piece of Web 1.0 that has survived into the 2.0 or even 3.0 age. I remember years ago it was a dream of mine to run a successful forum like this, and I tried too, trying to set up a little web empire (oh nostalgia) but I'm glad where I am, being a member to numerous sites, and a nice steady view count on my Youtube. Haha but as much as they will all change, how much will this place stay the same?
