2010 - 2020

What will this decade have in store for you?

For me I can map the deciding years of what will mould the rest of my life, I'm talking ten years that will alter the next 60+ if I am so blessed as to live that long.

I can pretty much sum it up if things go well and how I want them too.

2011 - I finish year 11

2013 - I finish my final year of sixth form

2014 - I begin University and leave house as a young adult, I have grown up and have left my parents.

2017/2018 I finish uni and begin my life as a barrister

2020 - I settle down with work, maybe I will find a nice girl and buy a family house. I will be 26. (I will be...old.)

Maybe it's because it's late but for some reason this feels really deep, mapping out my life like this.

Anyway, what's in store for y'all?

In 3 years I will have finished highschool and be in need of a decision about what I do. I have no idea if I'll be good enough at the flute to rationally pursue it in hopes of a career that doesn't involve just teaching with the local Instrumental Music Service.

Well, when I said house I sorta meant, a place to live, a flat is more what I meant.

@Phylum - the army can never get enough young blood for Afghanistan! There's always that option. But seriously, I think it'd be great to go to a Phylum (I assume that's your real name now) flute concerto.

Phylum, I sympathize with you. :\

By either 2015 or 2016, I hope to be finished with my undergrad. Given how unstable I still feel my life's path is, I can't be sure what I'll even have my degree in. However, since it's most likely going to be music, I'll be looking for grad schools or taking a few years to teach or just do whatever.

If you were born a few years earlier, your plan would go like this:

2004 - I finish year 11

2006 - I finish my final year of sixth form

2006 - I begin University and leave house as a young adult, I have grown up and have left my parents.

2010 I finish uni and go back to living with parents, surviving on a weekly diet of 100 rejected job applications for the forseeable future.
