An update (a long one)

For those interested, here's an update on things that have happened in my life since the time I was active on this forum (i.e. not just posting occasional Trololo videos). I have been pretty inactive for a while now for a number of reasons.

First of all (and I don't remember if I've posted a blog about this or not), I lost my mother a few months ago to a rare and violent form of sarcoma (cancer). It's been a tough year with this being the last year of high school but it was even tougher for my poor mum. May she rest in peace.

Secondly I've obviously been busy with school but I've finished exams now and I'm recovering from surgery so I have more time to post and lurk here...

Thirdly I got pretty bored with waiting for new Oddworld/Oddmobb/JAW stuff to come out and speculating. I am pretty happy that the new website's been released and I'm hoping to see the Oddbox appear on steam around xmas. And if that doesn't happen I won't care because I'll be in Europe freezing my arse off.

Anyway, I'm pretty glad that I've finished high school and there's a very high chance of getting into the aviation degree at Swinburne where I may finally meet Nate (if he's still at uni). I'm also glad I can use "recovering from surgery" as an excuse to sit on my arse all day and play old RPG's.

So what's new with you /b/ OWF?

Sounds like you've been through a hell of a tough time there. I'm sorry about your mum. Glad to hear things are looking up.

In short, nothing unusual. Except that Oddworld got the website up and the like. Stranger's being ported to the PS3 with improved graphics and sounds. There's a guy from JAW who posts a fair bit here. You probably knew most of that though.

You've got my sympathies too. I know it's sad when friends' mums / mum's friends get cancer, and I simply can't imagine what'd be like to lose someone so close.

As for what's new - heck, I don't even know. I just hang around and post shit. It's rare that I think about OWF when not on the computer, but when I do I sometimes realise that, in fact, I don't exactly read other people's posts. I just skim over threads and type out some crap (or, dare I say, crap out some type).
