o1 - Homo Estatius

Upon landing on this planet, I note that there seems to be one predominant species that has braced it's industrialism and now is in phase one of intelligence - They construct rudimentary feats of technology and architecture that, is currently in the process of re-constructing their atmosphere to be CO2 rich, presumably to better suit their needs. Although humans don't seem to be natural swimmers.

Specifically, I landed in an area known as Watford (pronounced Wha-f,d) I encountered a few humans clothed in attire fit for someone trekking an expanse of cold desert, they where grunting in a regular manner which I presume is some sort of basic language,. They where also smoking from sticks erected from holes in their faces, this isn't something that occurs in all humans therefore, I name this subspecies Homo Estatius, after the areas back on Mars we use to keep those that lack high intelligence in.
