(It wasn't the Shetlands. It was Scotland.)
I got back a few hours ago after camping with a friend up in the Lake District. I heard she'd gone up, and I hadn't seen her in a long time, so I went up with her and her daughter. I was going to take Emily and my brother, but my brother's working, and Emily hates camping. We went hiking, and today, we did a bit of climbing (something I'm very bad at). In the morning today, her dad came to pick her daughter up. It was great until today, where it became bizarre. She was acting a little bit off (it was very difficult to notice, but there was something very slightly different about her behaviour). I think she thought I had ulterior motives for driving up there, and got a little bit excited (we spent a lot of time in Scotland doing that kind of stuff in the late '80s just before I started spending time with Emily), but I just pretended not to notice. That was a little bit strange, I must admit. It certainly didn't help that the night before, I watched "Play Misty For Me". She started acting entirely normal again just before I set off back home, so I think (and hope) that I'm wrong. Upon getting home, I've noticed that my nephew's broken his new remote control car that he got the day before I set off to the Lakes. He's a tit at times.
