And you know what annoys me the most about that? There is no correlation between brain size and intelligence in humans.

See, that's what conspiracy theorists, pharmaceutical marketers and health quacks have in common: what they say sounds sensible, especially with the trappings of science, unless you already know better. The degree of sophistication in this tactic, however, varies enormously between these groups. Pharmaceutical companies are the most devious, since they have to get one over doctors, who are trained to spot this crap.

One thing conspiracy theorists never provide is palatable evidence. They throw all kinds of statistics and ridiculous claims in your direction and tell you to "look it up". Next thing you know you're looking at a geocities-hosted web page full of grammatical errors telling you how breakfast cereal contains mind-controlling nano machines.

It's hilarious, but it lends a bad name to the few people out there they may have actually stumbled across something. Finding legitimate information seems to be such a chore these days, you never know what you can trust.

Aw, bless him.

He reminds me of a guy I used to know, who was convinced 9/11 was done by the US Government and the London Bombings by the British Government, had all sorts of bogus statistics to prove it, and believed all religion was part of the conspiracy too. He even gave me website addresses that he said had proof of the conspiracies.

The general response to this argument is that these "organizations" let a few nutjobs attempt to spread the gospel, only to be received by the general public the same way we're receiving this guy. If these conspirators and secret organizations become exclusively associated with the inane babblings of the homeless preacher with the foil hat, then they have even less fear of being found out.

That isn't to say I necessarily agree with this argument, but it's an interesting case to make nonetheless.

Anyway... Anyone who thinks government is being upfront about everything don't really knowq whats going on... As we sit here and have fun on a forums, there are some sleazebags of some politicians that are screwing up the lives of others. The world of conspiracies is so tangled by now, that it's not possible to tell what's what. But things are going on. Things that lower the quality of life for many people.
It's just that we don't know what they are, and even if we did... it's not possible to do shit about it.
I don't really wanna bother my lil' brain with this stuff x_x but it does piss me off.

I'll admit, i believe that vaccinations are bad for you. The reason for the vaccination part, the fact that you don't know what they put in those things (so i hear). I don't think that they will 'mind control' you or anything like that. I just don't see any reason to be injecting supposedly unknown chemicals into my body that I can certainly live with out.

As for the TV hypnotising garbage, i just don't buy it, plain and simple.

Romanians have a saying: "Televisorul la fraerit pe poporul"

Meaning: "The television fooled the population" I really like it, cos it holds so much truth. Specially when it comes to romanian history and such.

Your right, it doesn't. I only watch it when i have nothing else to do. Also, i was mostly reffering to reality shows. Sorry if anyone else is into them, but thats just not somthing i fancy.

No, she only watches TV when she's here with me. I hate her for it too because she subjects me to the absolute worst Reality TV.
