(05:22) Luke the Mage: And how exactly is psychology not a pseudoscience, vaguely governed by correlations with ignored exceptions, as the full extent of neuroscience is not fully understood?
(05:24) Luke the Mage: If psychology is not entirely governed by neuroscience, then there must be an intuitive, or, how shall we say, 'mystic' affectation to it?
(05:24) Teh Joe: Errrrr
(05:25) Teh Joe: No
Nevermind
I'm too tired for that
(05:27) Luke the Mage: Come back with a full map of the human psyche and every equation to indicate possible electro-transmissive paths and their formation, and then I will accept you as a genuine scientist, and not a practitioner of pseudoscience.
(05:27) Teh Joe: That makes no sense
You fail physics forever
(05:29) Luke the Mage: If you're making assumptions or generalisations due to incomplete knowledge, or prior correlations, then it's pseudoscience, as you told me. Also you have failed to conver the skeptic through both empiricism and rationalism, and you also told me that the fault must always lie with the discipline, and not the skeptic.
(05:29) Teh Joe: No
(05:30) Teh Joe: That's not what a pseudoscience is at all
(05:30) Luke the Mage: Ah, pseaudoscience is where I sit down to profitlessly fool people to make me feel good then?
(05:31) Luke the Mage: Because I'm that maliceful, aren't I?
(05:32) Luke the Mage: Don't I just love confusing and wounding open-minded people?
(05:33) Teh Joe: No
That's not what a pseudoscience is either
(05:34) Luke the Mage: You won't win this one. I have a whole society at my back. And my two best friends, as well as my girlfriend, are all VASTLY more intelligent than you, and all three are serious divination practitioners.
(05:36) Luke the Mage: My two best friends being a trainee lawyer, and a trainee psychologist. And my girlfriend being an extremely talented poet and writer.
(05:37) Teh Joe: Uuuuh
(05:37) Luke the Mage: And funnily enough, these people live in the real world, and move seamlessly through many circles of people, not advertising what they are, whilst you sit ascetically behind your computer.
(05:38) Teh Joe: I think this is the point where I block you again
(05:38) Luke the Mage: I've about had it with snide pops at my beliefs and studies.
(05:38) Luke the Mage has been blocked
*Sigh*
