I'm a Big Meanie

Some lady called us looking for an estimate on her roof today. I take down all of her information, and then ask her when would be a good time for us to come out. She tells me that she doesn't need to be there. I try to explain to her that it's very difficult to give an accurate quote on something if we don't know what style they are looking for. She says that they just want a "regular" roof.

I spend a bit more time with her trying to explain how there is no such thing as a "regular" roof, and that it would really be in her best interest as well, if she was there. She starts getting nasty with me, and tells me that we obviously don't need her business. I say "Okay. I understand your frustration. Here's what I'll do. I know of a reputable company who can help you out. Give me a second, and I'll get you their number".

I go online, and look up The Make a Wish Foundation. I then tell her the toll free number that's on their website. She asks me who they are, and I tell her that they are MWF, and should be able to help her with whatever she needs. She says okay, and hangs up. Doesn't even say thank you!

She calls back about ten minutes later.

Lady: What the hell was that?

Me: What do you mean?

Lady: That was the Make a Wish Foundation you sent me to.

Me: (in between fits of laughter) THEY MAKE DREAMS COME TRUE!

Lady: Fuck you (hangs up)
