I think I should put these songs here, as well.

Edit: In case anyone missed me talking about it earlier, this is a little ep that I made when I was 19. April and I had just started dating, I had my whole life ahead of me, and I was going to make enough money off of my music that I would at least know that I had a next meal coming. Well, the music thing became unrealistic. Lack of talent, and real life took care of that.

BUT HERE IT IS!

The guitar, in all of the tracks, seems more percussive than melodic, which was quite interesting to hear. The bass seemed more like an accompanient to the percussive nature of the guitar rather than a rhythmic instrument, but considering that the music seemed to focus more on bizarreness and percussiveness, it worked quite fairly well for what it was.

Not quite a masterpiece, but it was, nevertheless, interesting to hear. Knowing that you were nineteen seems to add something to it - it makes me think less about what's good and bad, and more on the idea around the music. Messing around with instruments is great fun anyway, but in adolescency/early adulthood, it seems even more brilliant (perhaps because of the big ideas that get into a person's head - I was somehow going to make avantgarde and jazz popular - so much for that).

I stopped it when you started singing.

Up until that point, it was okay.

I have to say that I wasn't looking for, nor was I going to solicit praise from it, but "I stopped it when you started singing" isn't exactly what I expected. So, thanks for that.

Could you possibly upload these in such a way that I don't have to actually download the file? I'd much rather stream this.

I didn't stop it when you started singing because the singing itself was bad. It just startled me. All I've ever really heard of your voice was the baritone narration from your 'home movies', and your rage-filled hissing from your 'gtfo' video. Which I still watch.

Anywho, upon looking back on the comment, it seems horrible. I probably should have given you this explanation in the first comment. Sorry.

Track 1: The guitar had a very nice, minimalistic eastern sound. Sounded more like a koto or a guqin than a guitar, which was nice. Your singing is pretty crap, sorry to say. It has the potential to be nice, but your lack of confidence in your own voice is extremely evident in the shakey, downward slope of your tone.

Track 2: Also had some great guitar work. Your vocals started out very smooth and haunting, but degraded quickly into "trying too hard" as your volume increased. A stronger reverb, a little dampening, and perhaps another set of vocals harmonizing would have cleared that up. The dissonant harmonizing that came later in the song was actually quite nice and I liked it alot, the only problem is the vocals themselves, they need to be softer. It should sound more like an instrument than a man yelling. Dampening, man. It does wonders for stuff like that. If you still had the separate tracks in the raw, I'd be more than happy to apply the needed effects to make it work.

Track 3: Again, great guitar work. Your riffs aren't amazing, but they're clean and very relaxed, and extremely balanced compared to the work of most amateur guitarists. Your vocals were a little more confident in the beginning, but quickly slipped back into the downward sloping tone. It's hard to tie notes together, but your tone seems to slide down in pitch even when trying to hold one note. I'm not sure if this a confidence thing or if you simply ran out of air.

All in all, not terrible. Nothing groundbreaking, but I was expecting complete shit and was pleasantly surprised. Track 2 is my favorite, and with a little tweaking, could be a very nice, haunting piece of music.

CRITIC HAT ON.

This has made me want to get back into my keyboard.

The first was good. I'm fond of it, with a little backing music like say from a mouth instrument. I would love it. Singing was in tune, and reasonably enjoyable. 7/10

The second was very spaced out, kind of reminded me a little of Led Zep, again, needed something to fill the gaps. But conjured a very nice atmosphere. 6/10

Third, is again a spaced out. Singing is good. This is probably my favorite one. 8-9/10

Lyrics from what i can tell are refrshingly surreal.

All in all, if you were performing, i would clap.

CRITIC HAT OFF.

Well, it was all done in one take, and I didn't mix it. I mean, I'm not deciding to go pro with it. I'm just showing you guys some shit I did like nine years ago.

And the third song is my least favorite. I find it to be embarrassing.

The second piece is very smooth I think.
And honestly, I've heard much worse 'go pro' with their shit.

Example: That moldy freecreditreport.com douche. If he can make money, anyone can.

Actually, Mat. I take it back. I can't actually find anything wrong with track 2.

I've already listened to it three times and it gets better each time. Its quite provocative. I've come up with all kinds of scenes in my head that would complement this music.
