If this were true, why would this video still be online and why is that guy still alive?

In any case, I really don't understand why everyone is so afraid of a one-world government. Seems to me like a perfectly reasonable solution for many of the world's problems.

Don't get me wrong. I think it's all cockamamie rhetoric too. I just thought the sheer nonsense of this particular video would be worth sharing.

As for a one-world government, I think international unity is important, like the UN, but I don't think the world should operate under one system of government.

Why not? If there were a single, benevolent government who felt responsible to all the world's population, issues caused by disparity of wealth (for instance, third world poverty, health issues that affect countries due to lack of supplies, etc) would be reduced significantly.

What's more, the world would be able to approach global warming and the financial crisis with a consistent approach, rather than having countries argue between each other.

The main problem would be cultural; how would we form a government that could reflect the social values of all the world's citizens?

The Illuminati were from what i have heard nothing more or less than a society of freethinking litery men. I doubt there was anything dangerous about them.

Yes, but the the term is used these days to describe a clandestine organization that pulls the strings of world affairs. "Power behind the throne" so to speak.


The reason why I wouldn't like a one-world government is the reason you said: culture. I'm all for international agreements that can be backed up to end war and help third-world countries and stuff like that, but everyone has a different idea of how they'd like to live. One of the many reasons why people emigrate from Cuba is because they can't prosper there. I've been told because all government controlled jobs (nearly everything) only get "paid" in rations, people such as prostitutes are the richest people in the country because they're the only ones gaining any currency. If you mean a one-world union of nations to pull together the efforts of the world together, then I'm fine with that. I just don't like the idea of the whole world operating under one system of government, as in if the whole world operated under a strictly socialist or capitalist system.
