Sweet Jesus, yes. In the instrument world, pretty much anything less than $1000 is cheap. You could buy a house with the prices some string instruments go for. My guess is that becuase euphoniums aren't played as much, their price range is naturally static. Music: still the most overpaid industry.

Just in case my lack of details/bloviating gave the impression that I´m not excited, I am. However, being a white kid, I could fall prey to people with the notion that all tourists/westerners are rich. Plus, the language barrier sucks major ass. Even though high school foregin lanaguage education sucks balls, I still wish I had plced more emphasis on it. GRACIAS SEÑORA CUNTFACE. I also already poured my thoughts into my journal.

Why are you in South America?

My father is Peruvian as well as his mother. So, I'm spending some time with mi abuelita as well as trying to become fluent in Spanish and preparing more for college. By that, I mean improving my piano skills and studying music theory since I plan to major in music. I really don't want to have to take piano classes my first few years. At some point, I might take advantage of the opportunity to study indiginous music to garnish my applications to universities/conservatories. So yeah, I'm lucky as fuck. However, it was my intention before this trip to take a gap year anyway.
