Well i just got my computer back. the hard drive broke so i have to reinstall everything on my computer. apparently something physically was wrong with the hard drive(can't remember what), which caused my computer to crash. So i had to use my dads computer in the mean time.

My computer won't read blank discs anymore, but I don't want to reinstall the system, as I have been waiting for a Bungle concert to open for eight months, and it's just reached 91%. I am sad about that.

OddjobAbe: What program are you downloading it with? Most p2p programs let you copy the file somewhere else and reinstantiate it on another computer (or reinstalled OS). Besides, who uses disks these days. I realise you're probably talking about optical media, but still... use a USB, dude.

As for the porn discussion; I think it's admirable that all the browser developers have admitted that their customers need tools like Incognito or Inprivate to easily maintain their dodgy dealings, I just question their approach. Having a state wherein nothing gets saved to the history or cookies is all very well, but I don't care about that on my own computer; 99% of the time I'm the only person to use it. What I need is when my sister asks "Oh can I just pop on for a minute and check my email?" I can push a button and she gets a temporary clean slate that doesn't show her what I've been doing. And then I can press the button again and autologin to sexwithfruit.org .

I wish to listen to it on my CD player, and watch it one on my DVD. Can't use a USB for that.

I have, there is never a problem with my computer that isn't directly my own fault because I built the thing myself.

Premanufactured computers from Dell or HP or whatever suck ass and would crash itself after a certain amount of time even if you never changed the default setup. The amount of junk they put on a new pc these days is poison for any computer.

I'd rather a program that doesn't let you know what sites other people have been looking at on your computer.

Definatly, my PC uses old, crappy, cheap parts and it never fails me.

And with all the crap on pre-built PC, all of it is useless and reduces half the speed of the PC, it's so daft.

Of course. I make no criticism of that. I was talking about you saying it couldn't read blank disks, which I assumed meant you used disks for storage and backup.
