OddjobAbe: What program are you downloading it with? Most p2p programs let you copy the file somewhere else and reinstantiate it on another computer (or reinstalled OS). Besides, who uses disks these days. I realise you're probably talking about optical media, but still... use a USB, dude.



As for the porn discussion; I think it's admirable that all the browser developers have admitted that their customers need tools like Incognito or Inprivate to easily maintain their dodgy dealings, I just question their approach. Having a state wherein nothing gets saved to the history or cookies is all very well, but I don't care about that on my own computer; 99% of the time I'm the only person to use it. What I need is when my sister asks "Oh can I just pop on for a minute and check my email?" I can push a button and she gets a temporary clean slate that doesn't show her what I've been doing. Premanufactured computers from Dell or HP or whatever suck ass and would crash itself after a certain amount of time even if you never changed the default setup. The amount of junk they put on a new pc these days is poison for any computer.
