The red bit is a needle with a tiny speaker and a motor that moves it along. Seperately, the record floats via magnetism.

I would go to the nearest record store and buy 50 copies of their cheapest LPs just to show it off. I'd put up with 'Who Let The Dogs Out?' if it were levitating. And the fact that the LP would be destroyed afterwards would be a bonus.
