About a year and a half ago my dad's second wife divorced him; it was a mess... got the jewelry store he'd built out of basically a hole in the wall, everything. He called me and proposed that I move from Gardnerville to Minden into this huge house that the both of them were renting at the time, since he didn't want to move and couldn't afford the rent on his own now that she'd left. So I moved in, not necessarily "with him" because it's a strange house. I stay in a mostly-seperate 'studio' on one end of the house and don't really see him that often except when we're both in the garage wrenching. It's basically a 'bachelor pad' with a built in bar, etc, etc. Looks like the inside of Quagmire's house.

We like working on cars together Unfortunately though (for my living status) he's opened a new jewelry store at Lake Tahoe now that he's gotten back on his feet, and is planning on moving out of this house. So I've got to find a house to rent that can also 'house' all my project cars. Just a hassle, but I'm thrilled for him!

That's the best bit about my nephew. I always get Sweep from Sooty to serve him (non-alcoholic) drinks when I'm behind the bar. I spilt a rather big glass of milk doing that once, because my finger went into spasm, and I had only my thumb (Sweep's right "paw") on the glass because of that. I have been more careful about that after.

Why did I think you lived around Reno not Tahoe ???
