Fuck you Kant!
Posted 04-29-2009 at 08:09 AM by Wings of Fire
The moral worthiness of any actions motivation is a nonsensical point without reference to the action itself and the wider contextual basis the decision was made in. It is meaningless to think of a seperate idealised moral imperative and only judge actions as morally worthy if they are only borne from a sense of duty, actions pertaining to moral worth come from love, compassion and wisdom, not cold platonic ideals.
I reject the Categorical Imperative and I reject Kantian Metaphysics. Actions cannot be wholly judged by the percieved value of their causal motivation. Finally, I have that out of my system. |
