Ignorance Ahoy!

I just got back from having lunch with the owner of the company I work for. We went to this small diner that is apparently a hang out for all the local "good old boys". If you are unfamiliar with what that means, it is a term for rednecks. Mostly a term that they like.

Anyway, I'm trying to eat my disgusting tuna melt, while this guy at the counter next to me keeps going on and on about niggers and jews. Nigger this. Jew that. Finally, I look at my boss and say "Hey Roger, do you have the time?". He gives me the time. "I respond with "Oh, we should get going. I have to get my nigger jew daughter to her hair appointment".

He looks up at me all shocked and just says "What". I say very loudly, "Well, I'm a jew. And my wife's a nigger. So, my daughter is half jew, half nigger. And she has a hair appointment. So we should get going so that I can take my jew nigger kid to it". He just looks confused and says okay. Nobody in the restaurant says a fucking word as I pay and leave.

Ah Detroit. Next 'soul food' diner you go to will have Aretha Franklin hippin and hoppin around about how you better think about the consequences of your actions, and how she won't have you hangin around some two-bit sleazy dive.
