I need ideas for a storyline.
  • Slightly sci-fi
  • Two species. Human, and Empath. They are only somewhat different in appearance.
  • No space travel.
  • ???
  • Profit!


Just give me ideas dammit. I'll credit you with them and whatnot.

It’s a detective story, where a Human is partnered up with an Empath. At first they don’t trust one another but they grow to trust one another over time because while investigating cases it is required that they trust each other.

They investigate a case that is somehow a Human/Empath antagonism, and they realize that although they aren’t entirely comfortable with the other kind, they want to fight against further antagonism between Humans and Empaths.

Then they travel into space.

No space traval needs to be featured in this (the implication of space travel is important though)

Empaths are tyranical and have wiped out humanity on earth, the remaining genrations are enslaved on a far of world (no space travel needed they just happen to be there in the story)

it is about humanitie's efforts to find "the pathmaker" a devise used to make wormholes that could send humanity to the long lost "Earth".
