His original banning would have been the standard temporary sort given when a member receives 15 infraction points (ie 3 infractions). He was permabanned after he created multiple multis to get around it.

It sends you to a screen telling you that your ip has been banned. The only thing you can do from this point is send an email to the administrator. Even if you sign out or clear your cookies you cannot view the forum.
