there are tons of models on garrysmod.org owned by different companies and nothing bad has happened
Sooner or later , The copyright powers will remove the best fangames in this world as i have bookmarked in firefox. Regardless if it is a mod to half-life 2 or a similar thing.

The models are just ragdolls in gmod, they can't really be used for anything other that poses and gmod videos and are not for profit purposes and thus aren't really breaking any rules.

Over on facepunch people have been porting models since 2005/2006, it's non-profit, and obviously i'm not going to take credit for making the models either.

This pretty much. But I still advise you to just make a thread on Facepunch with a mirrored link to a website that ISN'T garrysmod.org, no matter what people say it is a pile of shit and should be treated such. It's full of people stealing other peoples work, and so forth.

It's like burning 100 copies of Avatar and then giving them away for free.
It really isn't.

I'd say Garry's Mod ragdolls probably comes under the same umbrella as fanart: technically breaching copyright, but most companies will ignore it as it doesn't harm them. Not to mention actually suing someone for it would bring them more bad publicity than it's worth.

Bottom line: if you're not making money from it or claiming it as your own creation, developers probably won't care.

In fact, introducing the assets to a new audience can help to introduce the franchise to a broader audience, which directs them to hopefully buying the product where they otherwise wouldn't have.

Demo One.. remember that 'Overboard'?? And that... kurushi? The one with them cubes, like a puzzle game. Demo One was awesome!

I had another demo disk with 'Haunted Maze' on it, a net yaroze creation (that playstation game making kit). Had so much fun on that with friends and family.

Demo 46 or 48 with metal gear solid? and the net yaroze game list with a 3d fps as uses 2d sprites like hexen.

Found it on google, Demo 42 contained Haunted Maze, and this is a youtube of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtl7f5orjm4 (skip to 1:25 for gameplay)

I remember another Net Yaroze game caled Timeslip where you control a snail and every 30 seconds or so, another snail is spawned that repeats your past, and if you collide with your past snails then you die. That was fun

What you could also do (if you're not already planning on it), is you can add various world props aswell seen around the environment in the game. Such as levers, Vendos, Security Orbs, and other stuff, that would be 2x more awesome in this pack.

That would work nicely, but the Paramite would start flying at times.. :P
And Slogs should use Fast Headcrab AI instead, because they actually run instead of walking like the regular Headcrab.

Would be nice if someone would take the time to smooth them up a bit. They look way blockier in that close range in MO I've noticed. So might it be some smoothing groups(?) error you get when you import the models into whatever program it is you're using?

Kurushi, or IQ Final as it was released as, is one of the awesomest games of all time. =) Can't say I cared much for Overboard though.

Just going to say that this thread is incredible and thanks so much for releasing a gary's mod pack, now i have to reinstall it....

EDIT: is it possible to put the level files into gary's mod? Or is that too much effort/bordering on a lawsuit of some sort.

Wouldn't work unless you convert the levels to whatever Model format Source engine uses. Since MO (from what I've seen) uses models to build the levels, it's not up to par with the Source engine which uses brushes to build worlds.

Trust me, I'm a Doctor
