Do you think Oddworld is really that Odd?

This is kind of a small thread.

Ever since I got Abes Oddysee when it first came out I always wondered why OI called it Oddworld. I dont think any of it is that Odd. The environments, creatures, storylines, chracters...everything about Oddworld isn't odd, its just awesome! What do you think?

The name 'Oddworld' fits into the story perfectly. After all, most civilised creatures know of Odd.

On a planet where the most widely held belief is that of Odd, why not call it Oddworld?

Mind you, thinking about that seems a bit silly. I don't think our planet deserves the name Godworld.
