THIS IS GOING ON MY YOU TUBE!

Appearantly, the U.S. military started their own youtube, which is awesome since I've been craving war footage.
LOLMILITRY

They've got about 20 videos up, if I remember correctly.
Ofcourse, it's attracted racist comments, but who cares.

This is pretty interesting. I can't say I've seen any people do that on YouTube yet... Cool

War clips showing the true grim and brutal nature of war and the darkside of humanity, bloodshed, and death...great. At least its a bit better than the sugarcoated crap we're seeing back in the states that everything is peachy, but it still seems kind of wrong if this is being done for entertainment purposes it really removes the human element of how disturbing this conflict and war is in general...

It's good they do this as it opens the eyes as to what the war really is instead of what the news is telling you. Not a bad move IMO.

But if it's actually the army doing it, it's going to be propaganda as a recruiting tool.

I agree. The footage can just as well be used to recruit people to this pointless cause, rather than show everyone its atrocities.

Or it can do both, and everyone wins.

If it's owned by the Army, they're obviously going to put up videos that promote their cause. It won't be any less biased than the news.

If someone watches these things with bombs going off everywhere and bullets zipping past the camera and then goes "YES! I WANT TO DO THAT TOO!" then he should damn well be allowed too and, if possible, return in a casket. Everyone stupid enough to voluntarily join the military for other reasons then free education is an idiot and damn well deserves to get his ass shot.

I've got no problem with someone joining the army out of patriotism, but I agree with your general point. Any army made up of people who like shooting people kinda worries me.

Which, in a way, is a mark in favour of conscription.
