Oh hay, new Star Wars movie.

Psyche.

Actually, the new 3D clone wars TV series will be having a special premiere in cinemas on August 15th, and them following on with eps on Cartoon Network.

Hooray.

They already did this, but in 2D. George fails for trying to get more money by remaking something only a year or two old.

Link'd.

Give it a shot, they're not bad.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I read this topic. I mean the 2D version was good and completed the storyline between episodes II and III - This 3D CGI version is a bit strange. Shouldn't he be making something that connects episode III to episode IV and shows how the Star Wars universe changes in that time period?

I think he's making them later. But I'm not sure whether it was him or "Supershadow Lucas' ego-maniacal best friend" who said this.

(I used to believe Supershadow so now in the back of my mind, I can't tell the difference between Official, and Supershadow)

Anyhow, the Clone Wars series looks cool, but I think they should be making a live action series set during the Empire.

I thought they were going to do one set between III an IV, possibly focusing on the growing up of some of the younger characters, such as Boba.

They still are, but they're doing this 2008 series first.

Atleast, they haven't canceled it yet. We knew there were 2 shows for a while now.

Looks pretty good, I love star wars, expecially the movies and games, haven't seen the tv series, so it should be good.
Hate the books though.
Owell, the wider one universe expans, the more shit it becomes filled with I guess.

Hayden actually is a good actor. Watch Shattered Glass, a movie where he plays a transformation from good to evil and he pulled off a far far better performance, you can blame Lucas for writing and directing a crappy personality for Anakin.

This series looks bad, what was good about it was the direction of the original creator. Now lucas is taking it, toning it down so it loses that spectacular flair it had, and then taking designs specifically tailored for 2D and putting them in realistic 3d lighting....what in the hell is he thinking? that doesnt go with the angular design at all.

Actually, such 2D cartoons can be rendered really well as 3D models. Have you never heard of animaquettes?

I believe they call it the "Team Fortress" factor.

It has the potential to be good, but I dunno I kind of liked Star Wars being finished and that notion finally bringing a measure of closure to the saga.

Regardless, Original Trilogy FTW.

I think it looks great, acept for the cartoonyness, and kind of looks like what the prequals should of been.
They realy should have started with the begenning of the clone wars, and had it all throughout the saga, so we didn't just see the begenning and the end.
Basically the star wars we see in the origanal movies, at least this shows what happens during the war though. I see it as filling the gap, I'm also interested to see the III-IV shows.
