Just saw Inglourious Basterds and absolutely loved it. Best Tarantino film I've ever seen.

And I really wish my holocaust survivor grandfather had lived to see it; I think he would have laughed his head off.

I saw it again over the weekend. I liked it a lot better the second time. Great film.

I saw the advertisment on tv again last night and realised how significant Brad Pitt has been in the marketing, but how little he actually was in the film. Sure, he was great in the scenes he was in, but the Basterds were only in about half the film, and Pitt was only in about 2/3 of those scenes.

On the other hand, Shoshanna kicked plenty of arse on his behalf.

Sorry for double posting. I saw I'm Not There yesterday. It's an abstract biopic about the life of Bob Dylan. It was a decent movie, but nothing fantastic. Except for this part that has Jim James of My Morning Jacket, and Calexico playing Goin' To Acapulco. This shit is great.

I saw G.I. Joe: The rise of Cobra yesterday. It was okay. Seven out of Ten.

A lot of the acting is shitty, but the bulk of it is actually pretty good, plot's coherent, etc...Better than ROTF, but the effects were mostly meh.

I've just saw The Ex which is the film directed by Zach Braff and one of the main characters is Zach Braff. I thought it was funny but then again I am a dirty self-confessed fan of the mousse haired bastard.

Zach Braff is supposed to be a TREMENDOUS asshole in real life. Apparently on the set of Scrubs, he basically treated everyone below him like shit, and everyone above him like sliced bread.
