Playstation 3 of course. The most powerful gaming console ever at this moment. With disks that doesn't matter much you scratch, smugde, or lick it, it'll still work. It's proven somewhere.
Or mabey it's Pong, the first electronic gaming system ever.
The PS2 had a great list of games, but honestly I haven't played that many games to say which is the best gaming system of any time.

PS3? It's not even out yet... You can't base an opinion of "Best Game System Ever" on hearsay and looks...
No, for me:
1: NES - Sure, there were others, but I think the Nintendo Entertainment System was the first actual console, which could play ALOT of games. And games could be easily installed and played.
2: Xbox - The best of the (then) Next-Gen-Consoles. The best graphics of the 3, and ofcourse the internal Hard-Disk. No more memory cards!
3: Atari - One of the first consoles, and I think this one started it all.
